Comments:
The memorial was moved into old disused WW2 air-raid tunnels that were carved out of the chalk cliffs that surrounded the factory site - I don't know when this happened. I wrote to the company around 2001 looking to find the memorial and during several visits along with staff members we located the memorial in the disused tunnels and rescued it. The company gave the memorial to my safe keeping and I arranged for Gravesham Borough Council to store it until a suitable site could be located to return the memorial to. It is still in storage but the old factory site is now being developed and I will approach the developer to see if we can place the memorial on the site.
