Comments:
Following a recent grant funded project this memorial is in good condition. WMT note concerns relating to the plaques, however as these have been cleaned to remove any active corrosion and have had a protective micro-crystalline wax applied these are considered to be good condition. The green finish to bronze is through natural weathering and provides a stable protective coating. Re-patination should only be considered where there is evidence of the original intention for the finish of the memorial and a clear justification for the need for this work. Further information is available from the Trust's helpsheet on Bronze which can be found on our website.
