Comments:
Top section of monument The cross itself has been subject to a previous repair in what looks like a silicone type glue. The top two sections of the monument are loose and could pose a potential hazard. I recommend that these are removed and stored safely until a repair / replacement can be done. Rest of monument Rest of vertical column sections appear sound and well fixed. Despite being quite heavily colonised by moss and lichen the stone itself seems to be sound with the mouldings to the plinth at ground level in tact. Obviously further investigation may be required as base has a heavy covering of moss.
