Comments:
I have recently taken over as churchwarden. On inspecting the Lychgate memorial in January 2023I have noted: severe weather abraision to the Finial Cross on the front apex of the lychgate roof; at least 4 letters of the names of the fallen carved on the inside of the wooden beams are missing or damaged; other letters are showing signs of weathering; main wooden pillars showing signs of splitting and wear especially where they are joined to the stone base. Some brick and stonework needs repair and there could be slight subsidenceof the actual wooden gate. Grrateful for your initial advice on how best to take this forward.
