Little is known about this memorial- which was unveiled and dedicated on 1 December 1918 - see the Craven Herald and Pioneer 6 December 1918 page 6- it commemorated 17 men. It no longer exists,and may well have been a precursor to the Village War Memorial-WMO/145970, and was destroyed after that was built.
