3 April 2013: The memorial was in extremely poor condition. The cross and top part of the base had been tipped forward onto the surface of the grave and the cross had been broken into two pieces. The kerbs had been displaced and broken pieces from an adjacent monument were lying on the grave. The grave had also been infested with ivy although some of that had been cut back
