These two plaques have recently been installed by the Leicstershire County Council to commemorate the Barracks and Col Barrett VC. The drill hall is still in use by the army but the barracks themselves have been demollished and were formerly replaced with Her majesties Young Offender Centre (HMYOC) Glen Parva and more recently by HMP Fosse Way
