WMT is aware that this war memorial is currently listed as being for sale. The Trust opposes the sale of war memorials as it can cause a lot of upset. This is outlined further on our helpsheet ‘Sale of war memorials’ available at https://www.warmemorials.org/helpsheets/. The charity has contacted the auction house to ask that the sale is reconsidered and offered support to relocate this war memorial to a location where people can visit it to pay their respects
