I visited the sundial memorial on the 7th Feb 2026 there is a lot of work being carried out around the area and it looks as though a new footpath has been laid to and around the memorial. However, all the metal work, memorial plaques and sundial pointers have been removed. I made enquires in the village which offered no explanation as to what is happening? The memorial itself is sound but in need of a good clean, whether this is part of an on going renovation is unknown but certainly as it stands the condition is defiantly bad.
