About the memorial: Chelsham war memorial consists of a wooden cross on a stone base with a dedicatory plaque. There are also two further plaques in the wall of St Leonard's Church which contain the names of those who lost their lives during the First and Second World War. Chelsham War Memorial has recently been renovated by the people of St Leonard's Church, aided by the War Memorial Trust - to whom we are very grateful for all the guidance, and help both technical and financial. Additionally we were able to recover the VAT with the assistance of the Dept Culture Media and Sport.
