About the memorial: Within the church, on the right hand (south) side of the nave, at the front, adjacent to a side door. A brass plaque commemorating Edmund George Dawson Fromant, Royal Army Medical Corps, who died of wounds at Ypres on 16 March, 1915, aged 21.

In the beloved memory/ of an only son/ Edmund George Dawson Fromant/ of the 1st London (City of London)/ Sanitory Company. Who died in his/ 22nd year on 16th March 1915 from wounds/ received during the bombardment/ of Ypres Flanders where his body/ was laid to rest in the Ramparts. He was a Professional Associate/ of the Surveyors Institute and a/ Probationer of the Royal Inststute/ of British Associates./ Give rest O Christ to Thy Servant/ with thy Saints where sorrow and/ pain are no more neither sighing/ but life everlasting. Alleluia.
