About the memorial: The memorial is mentioned on page 24 of D R Thorpe's biography of Sir Anthony Eden, the Earl of Avon, Prime Minister 1955-1957. Eden attended the school before the 1st World War and his name appears on the memorial among those who survived. His younger brother Nicholas appears on the list of those who did not. He was killed in the Battle of Jutland shortly after his 16th birthday. It may be presumed that there is also a WW2 memorial or addition, but I have no evidence for this. The memorial is described as being outside the chapel. Whether this means a freestanding memorial or a tablet attached to the wall is not clear and is not clarified by the otherwise very impressive photos of the school's Remembrance Day Service on its website (see link). Local knowledge needed to fill out this record.
